Seeklet Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Seeklet is a job-search agent: it helps you find companies, prepares tailored applications and, if you allow it, sends them from your own mailbox and keeps track of the replies.

This policy explains what data Seeklet uses, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights. We have tried to keep it simple. If anything is unclear, write to us.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Hugo Sanchez, publisher of Seeklet, based in France.

Contact for any question about your data: privacy@seeklet.app

2. The data we use

Your account

  • Email address, name, password (stored hashed, never readable by us).
  • Your phone's language, country and time zone, to adapt the app to your situation.

Your Career Profile

  • The resume you import (PDF or image) and what is extracted from it: experience, education, skills, languages, interests, summary.
  • The details you choose to add: phone, address or city, LinkedIn, website, photo.

Your missions

  • The role you are looking for, location, contract type, remote preference, company size, desired salary if you enter one.

Your applications

  • The resumes and cover letters generated for each company, the application and follow-up emails, the company and address they are sent to, and their status (prepared, sent, reply received…).

Your mailbox, only if you connect it (Gmail or Outlook)

  • We never ask for your password: the connection goes through Google or Microsoft (OAuth). We keep an access token, encrypted.
  • Seeklet sends the applications and follow-ups you have authorized from your mailbox.
  • To detect replies, Seeklet only reads the headers (sender, subject, date) of messages that belong to your application conversations. The content of your emails is not read, and the rest of your mailbox is not accessed.
  • Data obtained from your mailbox is only used for these features. It is never sold, never used for advertising, never read by a human (except with your consent, for security or when required by law) and never used to train AI models. Seeklet's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your conversations with the agent

  • The messages you write in Seeklet's chat, its answers, and the preferences it remembers for you (which you can view and delete).

Subscription

  • Your plan and its status. Payment is handled entirely by Apple: we never see your payment details.

Notifications

  • If you allow them, a notification identifier specific to your phone.

Technical data

  • Crash and error reports (see section 5).
  • Usage statistics, only if you turn them on (see section 5).

Data about companies Seeklet uses public information about companies, including their public contact details, which may be a person's work address (for example a recruiter's). It is only used to send an application to the right place.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

What Seeklet does Legal basis (GDPR)
Create and manage your account, import your resume, build your profile, find companies, prepare your applications Performance of the service you asked for (contract)
Have your resume and applications processed by AI (section 4) Performance of the service and your explicit consent, asked before anything is sent to AI and revocable in Profile
Send applications and follow-ups from your mailbox, track replies Your explicit authorization (connecting your mailbox and turning the agent on), revocable at any time
Notifications Your consent (iOS permission)
Crash reports Our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable and secure
Usage statistics Your consent, off by default
Managing your subscription Contract, and our legal obligations (accounting)
Finding companies and their public contacts Our legitimate interest, and yours, in sending your application to the right company

We do not sell your data. Seeklet shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Artificial intelligence

Seeklet uses third-party AI providers to read your resume, find the companies and postings that fit you, and write your applications and messages.

  • Anthropic (Claude) receives your resume and profile, your missions, your chat messages, and the text of an employer reply when you choose to have it analyzed.
  • Voyage AI receives the title and location of your missions.

These providers process this data on our behalf, only to produce the requested output, and do not use it to train their models. Anthropic deletes it from its systems within 30 days at most.

Nothing is sent to an AI before your explicit consent, asked in the app, and you can withdraw it in Profile. Seeklet makes no decision with legal effects about you: the agent acts for you, under the rules you set, and you can stop it at any time. It invents nothing: what it writes is based only on your profile.

5. Who receives your data

We use the following providers. Each only receives what its role requires, and is contractually bound to protect your data at a level at least equal to the one described in this policy.

Provider Role Location
Supabase (on Amazon Web Services) Hosting of Seeklet's database, files and servers United States
Anthropic AI (section 4) United States
Voyage AI AI, mission / company matching (section 4) United States
Google (Gmail API) and Microsoft (Outlook) Sending from your mailbox and detecting replies, only if you connect it Per your account
Google (Places) Company search, with no data that identifies you United States
Apple Subscription payments, notifications Per your Apple account
RevenueCat Subscription status management (internal identifier, purchases) United States
Expo Notification delivery United States
Sentry Crash reports (technical data and internal identifier, no name or email) European Union
PostHog Usage statistics, only if you turn them on (use of screens and features, linked to an internal identifier, no name or email) European Union

The companies you contact receive what an application normally contains: your resume, cover letter, message and email address. Once sent, an application also sits in your mailbox and in the company's: deleting it from Seeklet does not remove it from those mailboxes.

We may also disclose data when required by law.

Transfers outside the European Union. Some providers are located in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • As long as your account exists: your account, profile, missions, applications and chat.
  • When you delete your account (Profile → Delete my account): your account and all linked data (resume, profile, missions, applications, conversations, mailbox connection) are deleted from our systems immediately. Technical backups are overwritten within 30 days.
  • At AI providers: 30 days at most (section 4).
  • Crash reports: 90 days at most.
  • Usage statistics: 12 months at most. After your account is deleted, they are only linked to an identifier that no longer matches anyone.
  • Subscription: billing records are kept by Apple; we keep what accounting law requires, 10 years at most.

Anonymous information about companies may be kept to improve the service. It contains neither your name, nor the content of your emails, nor any link to your account.

7. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical measures: encrypted connections and access tokens, access limited to your own account, no access to your mailbox password. No system is perfect: if a data breach creates a risk for you, we will inform you and the French data protection authority (CNIL), as the law requires.

8. Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • access your data and get a copy in a reusable format (portability);
  • correct it (most of it directly in the app);
  • delete it, by deleting your account in the app (Profile → Delete my account) or by writing to us;
  • withdraw your consent: AI processing, statistics, notifications, mailbox connection, agent activity. Everything is in Profile;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest, or ask for it to be restricted;
  • set instructions for what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights: privacy@seeklet.app. We reply within one month at most.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country.

9. Minimum age

Seeklet is intended for people aged 16 and over.

10. Changes

If this policy changes significantly, we will let you know in the app before the change applies. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
